Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened3/4 cup packed brown sugar2/3 cup sugar2 eggs2 to 3 teaspoons almond extract1 teaspoon vanilla extract2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour1/2 cup baking cocoa1 teaspoon baking soda

Preparation

In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in extracts. Combine the flour, cocoa and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto an ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375° for 7-9 minutes or until edges are firm. Remove to wire racks to cool.
