Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour2 tablespoons sugar1 teaspoon baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt1 large egg1/2 cup 2% milk2 tablespoons butter, melted1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese1/3 cup crumbled cooked bacon1/4 cup finely chopped apple

Preparation

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, whisk the egg, milk and butter. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in the cheese, bacon and apple.

Transfer to two greased 5-3/4x3x2-in. loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks.
