Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened1 cup sugar2 large eggs, room temperature1 teaspoon vanilla extract2 cups all-purpose flour3 teaspoons baking powder1 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon salt1 cup sour cream1-1/4 cups chopped peeled apples1/2 cup chopped peeled pearTOPPING:1 cup packed brown sugar1 teaspoon ground cinnamon2 tablespoons cold butter1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Fold in apples and pear. Pour into a greased 13x9-in. baking dish.

In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in pecans. Sprinkle over batter.

Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 35-40 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
