Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, melted, cooled1 cup sugar3 tablespoons baking cocoa2 large eggs, room temperature, lightly beaten1 tablespoon 2% milk1 teaspoon vanilla extract1/2 cup all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt1 cup mashed ripe bananas (2-1/2 to 3 medium)1/2 cup chopped walnutsConfectioners’ sugar, optional
Preparation
In a bowl, combine butter, sugar and cocoa. Stir in eggs, milk and vanilla. Blend in flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in bananas and nuts.
Pour into a greased 9-in. square baking pan. Bake at 350° until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs, 40-45 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Just before serving, dust with confectioners’ sugar if desired.
