Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened4 ounces cream cheese, softened1 cup packed brown sugar1/2 cup sugar2 large eggs, room temperature1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium)1 tablespoon rum2 teaspoons vanilla extract3 cups all-purpose flour2 teaspoons ground cinnamon1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon baking soda2 cups old-fashioned oats1 cup chopped walnuts1/2 cup packed brown sugar
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream butter, cream cheese and sugars until blended. Beat in eggs, bananas, rum and vanilla. In another bowl, whisk flour, cinnamon, baking powder, salt and baking soda; gradually beat into creamed mixture. Stir in oats and walnuts.
Shape rounded teaspoons of dough into balls; roll in additional brown sugar. Place 1 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake until edges begin to brown, 10-12 minutes. Remove from pans to wire racks to cool. Store in airtight containers.
