Ingredients

1 pound ground beef1/2 cup chopped onion1 cup salsa1 medium green pepper, chopped2 cans (2-1/4 ounces each) sliced ripe olives, drained1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon chili powder1 teaspoon minced garlic1/2 teaspoon ground cumin1 loaf (1 pound) unsliced French bread2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Preparation

In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the salsa, green pepper, olives, salt, chili powder, garlic and cumin. Remove from the heat.

Cut bread in half lengthwise; place on a baking sheet. Spread meat mixture over cut sides; sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 450° for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
