Ingredients
1-1/2 pounds lean ground beef (90% lean)1 large onion, chopped1 large green pepper, chopped1/2 pound sliced fresh mushrooms3 cans (15 ounces each) crushed tomatoes1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste1/2 cup ketchup1 tablespoon sugar1 tablespoon chili powder1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon garlic powder1 teaspoon dried basil1 teaspoon dried oregano1 teaspoon Italian seasoning1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce1/2 teaspoon pepper
Preparation
In a large saucepan coated with cooking spray, cook the beef, onion and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add the mushrooms; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1-1/2 hours.
