Ingredients

3/4 pound ground beef1/2 cup chopped onion3 garlic cloves, minced3-1/2 cups cooked elbow macaroni3/4 cup barbecue sauce1/4 teaspoon pepperDash cayenne pepper1/4 cup whole milk1 tablespoon butter1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheeseAdditional cheddar cheese, optional

Preparation

In a large skillet, cook the beef, onion and garlic over medium heat 5-6 minutes or until meat is no longer pink, breaking into crumbles; drain. Add the macaroni, barbecue sauce, pepper and cayenne.

In a small saucepan, heat milk and butter over medium heat until butter is melted. Stir in cheese until melted. Pour over the macaroni mixture; gently toss to coat. Sprinkle with additional cheese if desired.
