Ingredients

1 (3- to 4-lb.) whole chicken, cut into 8 pieces

1 tbsp. dried thyme

2 tsp. dried oregano 

2 tsp. garlic powder

2 tsp. onion powder

1 tsp. smoked paprika

1/4 tsp. cayenne

Preparation

Step 1Season chicken all over with salt and black pepper. In a medium bowl, whisk thyme, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne, then rub spice mixture all over chicken.Step 2In an air-fryer basket, arrange dark meat pieces in a single layer. Cook at 350° for 10 minutes. Turn pieces and continue to cook until juices run clear and an instant-read thermometer inserted into thickest part of thigh registers 165°, about 10 minutes more. Repeat with chicken breasts, but reduce cook time to about 8 minutes per side; cook until juices run clear and instant-read thermometer inserted into thickest part of breast registers 165°.
