Ingredients
2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4" sticks
1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
2 tbsp. BBQ sauce
2 tbsp. mayonnaise
1 tsp. hot sauce (such as Texas Pete)
Preparation
Step 1In a large bowl, toss sweet potatoes, oil, chili powder, and garlic powder until combined and evenly coated; season with salt and pepper, then toss again.Step 2Working in batches, in an air-fryer basket, arrange sweet potatoes in a single layer. Cook at 375° for 6 minutes, flip fries, then continue to cook until browned and crispy, 5 to 8 minutes more.
Step 1In a medium bowl, whisk BBQ sauce, mayonnaise, and hot sauce to combine.Step 2Arrange sweet potato fries on a platter. Serve with sauce alongside for dipping.
Pro Tip: Unfortunately, not all air fryers are created equal. While this recipe has been tested time and time again in our air fryer, you may find different results in your own. If you haven’t made sweet potato fries in your air fryer before, it’s a good idea to start with less time per side. Start with 5 minutes and work your way up when making these for the first time.
