Cajun seasoning is meant to have a little kick and t’s the perfect thing with which to liven up some chicken, shrimp, or tofu and veggies. Want to sprinkle some into your fried rice? Go for it. It’s beyond simple to make, requiring a simple stir of spices you most likely already have sitting in the cupboard.  Make a single batch and you’ll be able to use it for a long while: this recipe yields a little over 1/2 cup. The seasoning mix keeps for at least a year if you store it in a clean, dry, air-tight container. Spices don’t really go bad over time, they just lose flavor and pungency; the faster you use it, the better it’ll taste. So what is Cajun seasoning best on? Glad you asked.  Pastas We love a good Cajun pasta, and we have the recipes to prove it. Cajun Butter Pasta is our favorite; with its creamy sauce and seared chicken breasts, you can’t go wrong.  ShrimpShrimp and Cajun seasoning were made for each other, like peanut butter and jelly. Whether it’s a Shrimp Bowl, Jambalaya, Corn Chowder, or Shrimp Cucumber Bites, this spice mix just makes it tastier.  Steak We would be remiss if we didn’t mention Cajun Butter Steak. We use Cajun seasoning here as both a marinade and a topping. It helps create a perfect sear on the steak and will be your new favorite way to prepare meat.  Have you made this yet?
