What are cake mix cookies? They’re exactly as they sound: cookies that incorporate cake mix into the dough. The result is an easy, quick shortcut to an extra soft and fluffy cookie. We used vanilla cake mix in this recipe, but the options don’t stop there! You can use practically any flavor of cake mix your heart desires. Strawberry, chocolate or white cake mix all would work deliciously in this recipe depending on what you’re going for.  What can I add to cake mix cookies? We chose red and green sprinkles to make these cookies extra festive, but the options are truly endless. Throw in rainbow sprinkles, chocolate chips, M&M’s or peanut butter cups to turn these cookies into whatever you’re craving.  Can I make the dough ahead of time? Of course! After making the dough, store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week, or place it in the freezer for up to 6 months. When you’re ready to bake, thaw it in the fridge before scooping onto your tray.  Looking for more red and green desserts?
